Database Clean-up (submitted by Marauder at 03:37pm CDT)

The DKP list now only shows active members. If an inactive member attends a raid, you can click "show all" in the lower right hand corner of the standings to pull up their DKP information.

I've also merged most of the retired Hellfish members into one user. This user's earned DKP is not accurate as the merge command doesn't allow redundant raids, and many of the retired members shared a raid together.

Regardless it keeps items intact, and lets us see which items have been retired.

New DKP values, New server (submitted by Marauder at 06:42pm CDT)

We've moved servers, again. This time you hopefully didn't notice a thing.

DKP has been altered. All earnings and purchases before Molten Core have been halved to reduce value inflation. This doesn't affect anything other than double the value of a DKP point, or effectively the worth of an MC raid.

Your relative standing should have remained unchanged.

An example:
Before changes, UBRS gives 2 DKP, Set breastplate costs 8.

Now: UBRS gives 1 DKP, Set breastplate costs 4.

There will not be future retroactive changes to DKP when certain raids are phased out to be worth less. However, in this situation it was warranted as it was the entirety of people's points.

So basically its a whole lot of nothing for the end user other than a DKP is now worth double what it used to be mentally.

Changes to DKP (submitted by Marauder at 02:42am CST)

We're starting partially to saturate with equipment from UBRS and below. However, we still need quite a few pieces here and there to really flush out. We will still be running DKP raids to encourage people to go, however, we've also been doing a lot of /random raids as well (as indicated by lack of raids listed on DKP lately).

As for DKP raids, one rule has changed:
Minor upgrades are essentially free now.
However, competitive items will still be worth DKP. With limited competition it should not matter too much what the dkp values are.

As we transition toward improved itemization and Molten Core, DKP will become more important again, and the amount of DKP awarded for UBRS will be phased down as MC requires much more effort. Note that with 40 people, MC loot will probably average 30 (3 dkp/boss*40 players = 120 dkp, ~4 loots per boss) per item. We could obviously give more but it wouldn't make sense since it would be overrewarding loot vs those who weren't at that raid.

Initial MC raids will be worth some DKP, but not a lot unless epics are dropping.

Flying Hellfish DKP has started (submitted by Marauder at 07:07pm CST)

As of LBRS 03/06/2005, all guild-only raids are now worth DKP.
I will add all of you sometime later tonight, so everyone can see how this works. Soon all officers and maybe a member or two will be able to help organize this. If you can read this message and are registered, you're already done with your part of the deal.

It is also your own obligation to make sure the officers dont miss anything you attended, or didn't dock dkp, or add dkp - we do our best but we will make mistakes.
